‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ Ignites Online Frenzy with Nude Scene and 10-Inch Prosthetic Reveal
Danny Webb has been acting for decades, but his newest role has people talking for very different reasons. The veteran actor appears in the HBO series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and his introduction surprised viewers right away. The second episode opens with Webb’s character, Ser Arlan of Pennytree, shown fully nude in a scene that quickly set social media buzzing.
The show is part of the larger Game of Thrones world, and fans are used to bold moments. Still, this one stood out. Many viewers focused less on the plot and more on what appeared to be Ser Arlan’s very noticeable anatomy.
At first, the situation was treated like a joke. Series creator Ira Parker laughed about it in early interviews and said he could not even remember if what viewers saw was real or not. That mystery did not last long.
On January 26, prosthetic designer Waldo Mason cleared things up himself. He confirmed on Instagram that the scene used a prosthetic created by his team. Very proud to have forged Ser Arlan Pennytree’s formidable weapon for the opening moments of this episode! Mason wrote, alongside photos showing the molding process.
Mason explained that the prosthetic was made from silicone and measured about ten inches. Several artists worked together to make sure it looked as real as possible on screen. The goal was to make it believable without distracting from the story.
The fitting process was not glamorous. Mason said the application happened inside a white tent while filming took place in rainy Belfast. Luckily, he was a consummate professional and was happy to work with us to make it as realistic as possible, he added, giving Webb credit for being patient during the awkward setup.
The creative choice came directly from the showrunner. Ira Parker later told Entertainment Weekly that he wanted to give the character something memorable. Ser Arlan dies early and does not get a heroic ending, so Parker felt he deserved one standout trait. I felt the need to give him his one special thing, to channel a little Boogie Nights, I suppose, Parker said when explaining the decision.
While the scene sparked jokes online, it also showed how far the Game of Thrones franchise continues to push boundaries. Even in a quieter spinoff, the creators are not shying away from moments that get people talking.
Outside of Westeros, Danny Webb has been keeping busy. As of late January 2026, he has been splitting his time between acting and a personal passion project. He recently launched Stanford Racing, a team competing in the Moto4 British Cup, where he now works as a team manager.
Do you think moments like this add realism to the world of Game of Thrones, or do they distract from the story? Share your thoughts in the comments.
