Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie turned a rainy night in London into a moment straight out of a movie. The two actors attended the London premiere of Wuthering Heights on Thursday, Feb. 5, and were met with heavy rain as they stepped onto the red carpet.

Instead of letting the weather ruin the moment, Elordi quickly moved to shield Robbie from the rain. The gesture caught attention and felt fitting for the dark and emotional story they star in. The scene added to the dramatic mood of the evening and matched the tone of the film.

Both stars leaned fully into the gothic feel of the project with their outfits. Robbie wore a pale pink, semi-sheer gown designed by Dilara Findikoglu with antique gold details. The look felt soft but intense at the same time. Elordi stood beside her in a slate gray suit by Bottega Veneta, keeping things simple and moody.

In an interview with Fandango, Robbie spoke about the close bond she formed with Elordi while filming. She admitted that she often becomes very attached to the people she works with and finds it hard to move on once a project ends. She said that the connection formed quickly with Elordi and made their time on set especially strong.

She also shared a strange but interesting detail from the early days of filming. Robbie recalled that Elordi would often stay nearby while she worked, sometimes standing off to the side and watching. Whether it was part of his process or something more natural, it helped create the intense and unsettling energy between their characters, Catherine and Heathcliff.

As of February, both actors are having major career moments. Elordi, now 28, recently appeared in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein. He is also expected to return to Euphoria later this year, and there is growing buzz about his involvement in an upcoming thriller directed by Denis Villeneuve.

Robbie, 35, continues to thrive both on screen and behind the scenes. Through her production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, she is developing several high-profile projects. These include a live-action The Sims movie and a new take on the Ocean’s Eleven franchise.

Wuthering Heights arrives in theaters on Feb. 13. Directed by Emerald Fennell, the film reimagines Emily Brontë’s 1847 novel with a modern edge. It features a contemporary soundtrack curated by Charli xcx and a bold visual style that mixes classic gothic settings with a modern twist. With supporting roles from Hong Chau and Alison Oliver, the film is shaping up to be a major Valentine’s Day release.

The rainy premiere, the fashion, and the chemistry between Elordi and Robbie all set the tone for what audiences can expect from this new and daring take on a classic love story.
