Halle Berry is stepping into her late 50s with confidence and zero interest in playing it safe. The Oscar-winning actress is the cover star of a new feature for The Cut, published on February 2, where she opened up about aging, fashion, and why she feels more powerful than ever.

The photos from the shoot quickly caught attention online. In one image, Berry wears a completely sheer, floor-length robe paired with a feathered stole. The look feels light and dramatic at the same time, matching the mood she says she is in right now.

Now 59, Berry told The Cut she has no plans to disappear quietly. She said she refuses to let age push her to the sidelines in an industry that often ignores older women. She shared that while society may try to make women feel smaller as they age, she has decided to be louder than I have ever been.

This mindset is also driving what she calls her menopause mission. Berry has been very open about women’s health and the lack of attention it receives. She said that standing up for these issues feels like a meaningful fight for this stage of her life and something she is fully committed to.

Berry also spoke about her personal life, especially her relationship with musician Van Hunt. She described it as the best relationship I have ever had. The two have been together for nearly six years. Although Hunt has proposed, Berry said they are not in a rush to get married and do not feel the need for marriage to prove their love.

As of February, Berry’s career remains busy. Her new film, the heist thriller Crime 101, is set to hit theaters on February 13. The movie is directed by Bart Layton and based on a novella by Don Winslow. Berry stars alongside Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, and Barry Keoghan. She plays Sharon Colvin, an insurance broker who finds herself moving through dangerous and high-powered circles.

She is also preparing to begin filming the drama Fleur in Paris this spring. In the film, Berry plays a woman who leaves a thirty-year marriage behind and starts over in France. At the same time, she continues to grow her production company, HalleHolly, which has around ten projects in development. These include a gender-swapped version of The President Is Missing and a psychological thriller called The Process.

Outside of acting, Berry is expanding her wellness platform, Respin, which focuses on women’s health and longevity. She has also spoken publicly about the need for more menopause research and funding, showing that her advocacy goes far beyond fashion or red carpet moments.

With her latest photos and her growing list of projects, Berry is making it clear that aging has not slowed her down. Instead, it has given her a louder voice and a sharper sense of purpose.
