80-Year-Old Don McLean Marks 10 Years With 31-Year-Old Girlfriend
Don McLean recently celebrated a big milestone in his personal life, marking over ten years with his girlfriend, Paris Dylan. The 80-year-old “American Pie” singer shared a heartfelt post on Instagram on February 4, including a photo of the couple at a 2024 White House state dinner.
In the caption, McLean called Dylan, 31, “the love of my life” after a decade together. Dylan returned the sentiment in the comments, saying he is “the love of her life.” The couple has long drawn attention because of their nearly fifty-year age gap, but they’ve always been open about their happiness.
They often share travel photos and concert snapshots with fans. Just days after the anniversary post, McLean shared another photo with Dylan and his longtime friend, actor Ed Begley Jr., following a performance in Beverly Hills.
McLean and Dylan were first seen together in 2018 during one of his international tours, though they didn’t confirm their romance until later that year when Dylan posted a birthday tribute. Since then, they’ve traveled the world together.
McLean has said he felt love at first sight when they met and credits their strong bond to simply enjoying each other’s company. “We just like each other a lot and share plenty of laughs,” he told fans.
Despite turning 80, McLean is still very active professionally. He is headlining his “Starry Starry Night Tour,” which will take him across the United States for much of the year. Recent shows, like his set at the Saban Theatre, have included his classic hits as well as stories from a career that spans more than fifty years. Fans can catch him in Florida this March, with stops in Immokalee, Melbourne, and Clearwater.
McLean’s latest album, American Boys, also continues to be a highlight of his shows. The record features a collaboration with vocal group Home Free and pays tribute to the pioneers of rock and roll, showing that McLean’s creativity remains strong.
