Carmen Electra, 53, Brings Baywatch Energy in Pink Bikini Amid Reboot Buzz
Carmen Electra is reminding everyone why she remains a pop culture icon. The 53-year-old actress and model recently shared new photos on Instagram, posing by a pool in a bright pink bikini. The images quickly caught attention and spread across social media.
In the post, Electra looked relaxed and confident as she stood poolside. She captioned the photos by saying she was “keepin’ it hot all winter.” Fans flooded the comments almost instantly. One follower wrote that while the weather might be warm, Electra was “keepin’ it hotter,” adding that she was glowing with confidence.
Others praised her timeless appeal, with one fan saying they would choose her “always and forever,” even if she had a twin. Several people simply called her a permanent baddie.
The viral moment comes as rumors continue to swirl about a Baywatch reboot currently in development at Fox. According to reports, the new series is being led by showrunner Matt Nix and is expected to focus on a new group of lifeguards for the 2026 to 2027 season. Even so, Electra has openly said she would be willing to return to the franchise that made her famous.
In past interviews, she shared that she would be open to a cameo, with one condition. She joked that she would prefer to stay out of the water but would happily bring back her iconic slow-motion running scenes. That comment only fueled more fan excitement.
As of February, Electra has been balancing nostalgia with new projects. She recently appeared as a guest star in the Hulu Latin American drama Dear Killer Nannies. The series is inspired by the life of Juan Pablo Escobar and stars John Leguizamo.

Earlier this month, she also attended Steven Tyler’s 7th Annual Jam for Janie Grammy Awards viewing party. While there, she reunited with former Baywatch co-star Brande Roderick, giving fans a rare red carpet moment that quickly made the rounds online.
Outside of acting, Electra has been focusing on her personal brand. She recently completed the legal process to officially change her name from Tara Leigh Patrick to Carmen Electra, the name given to her years ago by Prince.
She has also remained visible in documentary projects, including Hulu’s 2024 series After Baywatch Moment in the Sun, which explored the lasting cultural impact of the original show.
The Baywatch reboot is currently holding open casting calls in Los Angeles and is preparing to begin filming on Venice Beach this March. Original creators Greg Bonann and Michael Berk are involved, signaling a strong connection to the classic series.
Should the reboot focus only on new faces, or would a cameo from an original icon like Electra help make it a hit? Share your thoughts in the comments.
