How Margot Robbie’s Party Girl Days Got Her Barred From Clubs

Margot Robbie is one of Hollywood’s most polished stars today, but the thirty-five-year-old actress recently reminded everyone that she hasn’t always been so poised. On February 10, she appeared on the Table Manners podcast and shared stories from her wilder years living in Clapham, South London.

Before she became an Oscar nominee and a successful producer, Robbie shared a cramped four-bedroom flat with six roommates. She described those days as living like a naughty schoolgirl, full of chaos, laughter, and mischief.

Robbie admitted that she and her friends often found themselves on the wrong side of club security. She laughed while recalling being dragged out of Infernos, a famous London nightclub known for sticky carpets and relaxed rules.

“You can’t get kicked out of Infernos,” she joked, recounting how she shouted at the bouncers while being removed, only for them to explain that her friend had finally crossed a line. Eventually, she said, they were banned from several clubs across South London.

She also looked back on her Harry Potter-themed bachelorette party, which included a stripper dressed as the famous wizard. “It was very, very funny and not sexy,” Robbie said, remembering robes, glasses, and all the magical innuendo. These stories show a side of Robbie that fans rarely see—a mischievous, fun-loving young woman behind the polished Hollywood image.

Even as she rose to A-list fame, Robbie hasn’t lost her playful streak. She once invited the owners of her local corner store to a movie premiere because they didn’t believe she was famous. Recently, she appeared on Heart Radio and performed a “shoey,” an Australian tradition of drinking beer out of a shoe.

While she used a fancy glass version instead of a worn sneaker, she drank without hesitation, showing that her grounded, fun-loving personality is still very much alive. On the personal side, Robbie is enjoying life as a new mom.
