Jennifer Lawrence may be known for intense drama roles, but comedy has always been a big part of her career. Fans first saw that side shine when she won the Oscar for Silver Linings Playbook in 2012. The role proved she could be funny without trying too hard, even when the story carried heavy emotional weight.

Over the years, Lawrence has often chosen roles where humor and discomfort mix together. Even so, she has always been open about loving classic and offbeat comedies made by other filmmakers. In an earlier interview shared by film outlets and resurfacing online, she talked about the movies that shaped her sense of humor.

According to that past conversation, Lawrence named several films she truly loves. The list included titles like The Big Lebowski and Harold and Maude. But one movie stood out above the rest for her.

That movie is I Heart Huckabees, the 2004 existential comedy directed by David O. Russell. The film stars Dustin Hoffman and Lily Tomlin as strange detectives who help people question their lives and beliefs. It also features a younger cast, including Jude Law, Naomi Watts, and Mark Wahlberg.

Lawrence said she became deeply attached to the movie the first time she watched it. She admitted she was obsessed with it when I first saw it and even watched it four times in one week. She also joked that she often warns people before recommending it, saying you might not like it because of how weird it is.

Still, she calls it her favorite comedy of all time. The comments originally came from a past interview that continues to circulate among fans, especially as Lawrence’s career keeps evolving.

Jennifer Lawrence is in a very strong place both personally and professionally. She recently welcomed her second child and has spoken about enjoying life away from the spotlight while still choosing exciting projects.

Late last year, she earned praise and a Golden Globe nomination for her role in Die My Love, a dark psychological film directed by Lynne Ramsay and co-starring Robert Pattinson.

She is also set to return to one of her most famous roles. It has been confirmed that Lawrence will appear again as Katniss Everdeen in a flash-forward scene in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, scheduled for release on November 20. The film focuses on a young Haymitch Abernathy, played by Joseph Zada.

On top of that, Lawrence is preparing for a major new collaboration with Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio on a project titled What Happens at Night. She is also producing and starring in The Wives, a murder mystery inspired by the Real Housewives universe, through her production company Excellent Cadaver.
