Cameron Diaz, 53, Seen Makeup-Free During Casual NYC Outing Amid Charlie’s Angels Reboot
Cameron Diaz was recently spotted enjoying a casual winter walk in New York City. The 53-year-old actress kept it cozy in a black puffer jacket, relaxed sweatpants, and sturdy black boots. She carried a black fanny pack and was seen checking her phone while strolling through a local park on Wednesday afternoon, February 18.
The sighting comes amid growing excitement about the future of one of her most iconic franchises. Sony Pictures recently confirmed that a new Charlie’s Angels movie is in early development.
Diaz originally played Natalie Cook alongside Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu in the 2000 and 2003 films. While screenwriter Pete Chiarelli has been hired for the new script, no official casting announcements have been made.

Fans are already speculating about a reunion of the original trio. Drew Barrymore’s production company, Flower Films, is reportedly involved in the reboot, which has fueled rumors that Diaz and her former co-stars might return. Whether they would lead the film or make cameo appearances to pass the torch remains unclear.
Aside from the buzz around Charlie’s Angels, Diaz has been busy with other projects. She recently completed the action-comedy Back in Action for Netflix, marking her first film role in more than a decade.
She will also star in the Apple Original film Outcome, set to premiere on April 10. The dark comedy features Keanu Reeves, Jonah Hill, and Matt Bomer, and follows a Hollywood star forced to confront his past after being extorted.
Diaz is also returning to the recording booth for Shrek 5, reprising her role as Princess Fiona and reuniting with Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy. In addition to acting, she is balancing family life with her husband, Benji Madden, and their two children, Raddix and Cardinal.
She continues to oversee her organic wine brand, Avaline, which has remained successful during her time away from the screen. The actress is also reportedly preparing for a new romantic comedy co-starring Stephen Merchant. With thrillers, comedies, animated films, and franchise reboots on her schedule, Diaz seems to be embracing her “un-retirement” phase fully.
Her recent walk in the park suggests that amid a busy year of premieres and projects, she is taking time to enjoy quiet moments. Fans can expect to see Diaz active in the industry once again, proving that her presence is as strong as it was during her early-2000s peak.
