Sydney Sweeney is clearly closing the door on her past and stepping fully into her future. According to recent reports from TMZ, the actress has officially ended her last professional connection with her former fiancé, Jonathan Davino.

The former couple once worked closely together. They launched a production company in 2019, not long after their relationship became serious. That company went on to produce several high-profile projects tied to Sweeney’s rise in Hollywood, including the horror film Immaculate and the romantic comedy Anyone But You.

After their engagement came to an end in March 2025, the business side of their relationship quickly followed. Sources familiar with the situation say Sweeney wanted a clean break across the board. To make that happen, she reportedly paid Davino to step away completely, ensuring there would be no shared projects or financial ties going forward.

Legal documents filed late last year show that their original company was formally dissolved by a unanimous vote. Even though both names were still listed on paperwork earlier in 2025, insiders say the working relationship had already ended behind the scenes. The filing made the split official.

There has also been tension around how the former partners view their shared past. Davino has reportedly claimed that he played a major role in building Sweeney’s career. People close to the actress strongly dispute that idea and say her success came from years of nonstop work and growing demand from studios.

To fully move on, Sweeney’s team filed new paperwork in January to launch a brand-new production company under a similar name. This time, she is the sole person in charge. She is listed as the CEO, CFO, and secretary, with no other board members involved.

Those close to the actress say the move gives her full creative freedom and removes any lingering distractions. It also reflects a broader shift in how she wants to manage her career, especially after a year of major personal change.

Professionally, Sweeney has been busier than ever. She recently starred in the psychological thriller The Housemaid alongside Amanda Seyfried. The film has already drawn attention for its dark tone and intense performances.

Fans are also preparing for the return of Euphoria. After several delays, season three is now scheduled to premiere in April. Sweeney will once again play Cassie Howard, a role that helped cement her place as one of the most talked-about actors of her generation.

Later this year, she is set to portray classic Hollywood icon Kim Novak in the biopic Scandalous, directed by Colman Domingo. The project is expected to explore fame, image, and power in old Hollywood. She also appears in the upcoming sci-fi adaptation Gundam alongside Noah Centineo.

Outside of acting, Sweeney has expanded into fashion and business. She recently launched her own lingerie line, SYRN, and continues to balance producing with an increasingly packed acting schedule.
