Demi Moore, 63, Redefines Her Image With a Bold New Look Fans Barely Recognize
Demi Moore is turning heads again, this time with a bold new hairstyle that surprised many fans. On Thursday, February 26, the 63-year-old actress arrived at the Gucci Fall-Winter show in Milan looking very different from her usual self.
According to reports from the fashion event, Moore stepped into the Palazzo Delle Scintille with a sharp jaw-length bob, leaving behind the long hair she has been known for over the years.
Her new haircut featured a sleek, wet look style that gave off a modern and edgy vibe. The dramatic change was created by celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos, who shared details about the look after the show. He even gave the haircut a playful name, calling it the Demi tris BoB.
Giannetos explained the idea behind the transformation, saying, I wanted to create something edgy and forward thinking to match the energy of the Gucci collection. He added, I felt an amazing short above the shoulder bob with this very sleek wet texture would be perfect to complement her look.
Moore’s outfit matched the bold haircut perfectly. She wore an all-leather look with a structured jacket and slim pants. She completed the outfit with dark sunglasses and high heels. She also brought along her tiny Chihuahua Pilaf, who has become a familiar sight at her public appearances.
The full look gave off strong late nineties glamour mixed with a modern rebellious feel. While Moore has changed her hair for movie roles in the past, she has mostly stayed loyal to her long hair for the last ten years.
Just weeks ago, she spoke openly about her hair in an interview with PEOPLE. I like leaving room to play, she said at the time. Still, she admitted that long hair feels most like home for her. At the end of the day, I love taking it down, seeing my hair fall past my waist. It’s like coming home.
Beyond fashion week, Moore is also enjoying a strong moment in her career. She recently gained major attention for her role in the body horror film The Substance, which has kept her in awards season discussions. The success of the film also led to her being announced as a presenter at the upcoming Academy Awards.
She is currently starring in the drama series Landman, where she plays the wife of a powerful figure in the oil industry. Fans will also see her on the big screen again very soon. Moore is set to appear in the sci-fi crime comedy I Love Boosters, which is scheduled to premiere at the SXSW Festival in March.
The film is directed by Boots Riley and stars Moore alongside Keke Palmer and LaKeith Stanfield. The story follows a group of shoplifters who go up against a ruthless fashion mogul.
