Yvonne Strahovski stepped back into the spotlight this week with a very rare public moment. She attended a red carpet event with her husband, Tim Loden, marking the first time the two have appeared together in public in more than seven years.

The appearance happened on Thursday, February 26. The actress was honored at the G’Day USA Arts Gala, where she received the Excellence in Film and Television Award. The event took place at The Lot at Formosa in Los Angeles and focused on celebrating Australian talent working in Hollywood.

Strahovski arrived with Loden and stayed close to him throughout the night. The couple kept a low profile on the carpet, but their presence together stood out because of how rarely they are seen side by side. They have been together since 2009 and married in 2017, but have largely avoided public appearances in recent years.

The award was presented by her Bad Monkey co-star Vince Vaughn, who spoke warmly about the Australian acting community during his introduction. What an unbelievable community you have with supporting each other, he said.

While Strahovski often attends industry events on her own, she and Loden have intentionally kept their private life away from the cameras. Their last red carpet appearance together was at the 2019 Golden Globes. Since then, they have focused on family life and are now parents to three sons.

Loden, who is also an actor, has occasionally worked alongside his wife. Fans may remember him from small appearances on her early hit series Chuck. Despite that connection, he has mostly stayed out of the public eye while Strahovski’s career continued to grow.

The gala came at a big moment for Strahovski professionally. Her role as Serena Joy Waterford on The Handmaid’s Tale ended in May 2025 when the series wrapped its final season. Over eight years, her performance earned multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations and helped define the show’s legacy.

Since then, she has moved into new projects. In 2024, she starred in the horror series Teacup and also worked as an executive producer. The project showed a different side of her talent and marked a shift away from heavy dystopian drama.

She is now set to appear in the second season of Apple TV+’s Bad Monkey, where she plays Delaney, a County State Attorney. The role reunites her with Vaughn and leans more into dark comedy. Reports from the production describe the tone as lighter but still sharp.

Strahovski is also attached to A Woman of Intelligence, based on the novel by Tanis Rideout, where she will star and executive-produce. She has also been linked to The Testaments, a spin-off connected to The Handmaid’s Tale, though no official details have been confirmed.
