Sienna Miller, 44, Opens up About Dating Younger Men and Public Perception
Sienna Miller is speaking openly about age gaps in relationships and how society still treats them differently depending on gender. The 44-year-old actress talked about the issue in a recent interview with Grazia, where she shared her thoughts on dating younger men and the double standards that come with it.
Miller is currently in a relationship with 29-year-old actor and model Oli Green. While she says some things have improved in the industry, she believes relationships like hers are still not seen as normal. Instead, she feels they are often treated as something unusual or overly fascinating.
Looking back on her early career, Miller recalled being 21 years old and auditioning to play the love interest of a 45-year-old man. She explained that no one questioned that pairing at the time.
According to her, when the man is older, age gaps are usually accepted without much discussion. But when a woman dates someone younger, it is often viewed differently and not in a good way.
She said she hopes that one day this kind of judgment will disappear. After more than 20 years in the public eye, Miller has grown tired of the constant noise surrounding women’s personal lives, especially when it comes to relationships and motherhood.
This conversation comes during a happy period for Miller and Green. The couple is preparing to welcome another child together. Miller is already a mother to 13-year-old Marlowe, whom she shares with actor Tom Sturridge. She and Green welcomed their first daughter in early 2024, making this next baby her third child.
Miller has previously shared that adjusting to a new sibling took time for Marlowe, but that has since changed. She has said her daughter now loves being a big sister, and the younger child already looks up to her.
The actress has also been open about her fertility journey. She has spoken about freezing her eggs in her 40s to reduce the pressure she felt around timing and motherhood. That honesty has made her a relatable voice for women considering having children later in life.
She recently showed her baby bump on the red carpet at the 2025 Fashion Awards, marking this new chapter with confidence. Alongside her growing family, Miller’s career remains busy. She is set to appear in the biographical drama Madden, where she plays Carol Davis.
The film explores the life of the legendary NFL coach and broadcaster and stars Nicolas Cage, Anthony Hopkins, and Chloe Grace Moretz. It is expected to draw attention during awards season.
As she splits her time between London and New York, Miller continues to balance work and family while pushing back against narrow ideas about age, relationships, and motherhood. Her message is clear that happiness and success do not come with a deadline.
