Al Pacino had a lovely family night out this past Thursday in Santa Monica. The 85-year-old actor walked the red carpet at the Aero Theater to support his daughter, Julie Pacino, for the premiere of her new movie, I Live Here Now.

This film is a big deal because it is Julie’s first time directing a feature movie. Al was joined by his three adult children, Julie, Anton, and Olivia, who were all there to cheer her on. It was a rare and sweet moment to see the whole group together, and they even posed for some fun photos with peace signs for the cameras.

Al seemed very proud of his daughter, and one photo showed them hugging while he wore his classic aviator sunglasses. He is usually pretty private about his personal life, but he has been sharing more about what it is like being a dad later in his life.

He shares a young son named Roman with his ex-girlfriend Noor Alfallah, and he recently told reporters that he loves staying connected with him. He explained that he and his youngest son keep in touch in a very modern way.

He does text me from time to time, Al shared. He also added, Everything he does is real. Everything he does is interesting to me. So we talk. I play the harmonica with him, and we have made this kind of contact. So it’s fun.

The actor is still very busy with his own career. He recently appeared in the thriller Dead Man’s Wire, which came out in January 2026. This movie was directed by Gus Van Sant and tells the true story of a tense kidnapping in 1977, featuring Al alongside stars like Bill Skarsgård and Colman Domingo.

As for Julie’s movie, I Live Here Now is a psychological thriller that has people talking because of its spooky and strange atmosphere. It stars actors like Madeline Brewer and Matt Rife, and it is hitting more theaters throughout April. It looks like Julie is off to a great start with her directing career.
