Keanu Reeves Confronts His Past in Jonah Hill’s New Dark Comedy ‘Outcome’ — Trailer Released
Keanu Reeves is stepping into a very different kind of role in the upcoming Apple TV dark comedy, “Outcome.” Known for being one of Hollywood’s nicest stars, Reeves plays Reef Hawk, a famous actor with a long list of mistakes to fix. The first trailer for the film was released recently, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come.
In the film, Reef is preparing for a big comeback after five years away from the spotlight. During his break, he struggled with a heroin addiction that he plans to keep secret. Things take a turn when his lawyer, played by Jonah Hill, discovers a compromising video that could ruin Reef’s reputation.
Reef teams up with a crisis PR team and is told to apologize to everyone he might have wronged over the years. The list is long and includes some surprising names, like legendary director Martin Scorsese, who appears in a cameo.

The movie has a large cast, including Cameron Diaz, Matt Bomer, Susan Lucci, Laverne Cox, David Spade, Atsuko Okatsuka, Roy Wood Jr., Welker White, Kaia Gerber, and Ivy Wolk. Jonah Hill co-wrote the film with Ezra Woods, who also worked on Hill’s upcoming project, “Cut Off,” set to release in July. Hill also produces “Outcome.”
“Outcome” marks Jonah Hill’s second feature film as a director, following his 2018 debut, “Mid ’90s.” It also marks Hill’s return to acting in a major film since his 2023 Netflix project, “You People,” which he co-wrote and starred in.
The film will start streaming on Apple TV on April 10.
From what we can see in the trailer, “Outcome” looks like a mix of humor, drama, and Hollywood satire, showing a side of Keanu Reeves we’ve never seen before. I think it’s exciting to see Reeves take on a role that challenges his “nice guy” reputation. What do you think about Reeves playing a more flawed character? Share your thoughts in the comments.
