Alan Ritchson, 43, Tennessee Incident Captured in Newly Released Police Footage
Recently released police body camera footage is giving more details about a neighborhood dispute involving actor Alan Ritchson in Brentwood, Tennessee. Officers arrived at the scene after a physical confrontation between Ritchson and his neighbor, identified as Ronnie Taylor.
The video shows police speaking separately with both men to understand what happened. Ritchson appears upset in the recording and can be seen with a minor injury on his arm. He immediately asks for legal help during the interaction. He says, “Obviously, my life is a very high-stakes one, very public, so I think I need my attorney.”
In his version of events, Ritchson claims the incident started while he was riding his motorcycle. He says he was trying to leave the area when the situation turned physical. He questioned the officers about what they may have seen, asking, “Did he cut out the part where he shoved me off the bike?”

He also told police that he believes the neighbor was the one who escalated the encounter. According to him, he tried to avoid any confrontation before things got out of control. He added, “You would have seen him shoving me off my bike after I tried to leave peacefully.”
During the conversation, he also raised concerns about safety in the neighborhood and mentioned his family, saying, “I feel unsafe with my kids going out in the neighborhood.” The footage also includes the neighbor’s account of the incident. Taylor appears emotional while speaking to officers.
He says he approached the situation because he believed the motorcycle was being driven too fast in the residential area. He claims the situation escalated quickly and says he did not attack first. He told officers, “He gets up and starts wailing on me,” while explaining his side of the confrontation.
According to reporting based on police records, the investigation into the incident was later closed without any charges being filed. Authorities reportedly concluded that Ritchson acted in self-defense, with additional body camera footage supporting that conclusion.
Officials in Brentwood stated that no further legal action would be taken. Ritchson also chose not to pursue charges after the case was reviewed and closed. Outside of the incident, Ritchson has continued working steadily in film and television.
He recently appeared in the action film War Machine, which drew strong streaming numbers after its release. In the film, he plays a military recruit facing a dangerous extraterrestrial threat alongside co-stars such as Dennis Quaid and Jai Courtney.
He is also continuing his role in the action series Reacher. Production updates suggest that the upcoming fourth season is on track for release later this year on Prime Video. The body cam footage has renewed public attention on the neighborhood dispute, but official records confirm that the matter has already been resolved by local authorities.
