The first trailer for Practical Magic 2 has finally arrived, and it brings Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman back into their well-known roles as the Owens sisters. Bullock and Kidman also appeared at CinemaCon earlier this month, where they spoke briefly about the return of the project and shared a short message for fans, saying, “The witches are back!”
The new film also introduces fresh characters while bringing back familiar ones. Joey King joins the cast as Sally’s daughter. Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña, and Solly McLeod are also part of the new group of actors. At the same time, Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest return as the aunts who played an important role in the original film.
Behind the scenes, the script is written by Akiva Goldsman and Georgia Pritchett. Bullock and Kidman are also involved as producers, helping guide the direction of the sequel. This connection to the original team has been noted as one way the film keeps its link to the first movie.
