Gina Carano is speaking again about her long and unusual path from Hollywood to fighting, and she is also sharing new details about her past connection with Pedro Pascal.

In a recent interview reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Carano said Pascal never spoke against her in public during the controversy that led to her exit from The Mandalorian. Instead, she says he communicated with her privately and suggested how she should respond to online criticism at the time.

She described him as someone who stayed out of public debate but still reached out behind the scenes. According to Carano, his advice was focused on calming tensions and handling backlash in a way that would reduce conflict.

Even with that private contact, Carano confirmed that their relationship did not continue after the situation. She said they are no longer in touch. Their last conversation happened in 2024 after the death of co-star Carl Weathers.

“But no,” she said. “Me and Pedro don’t keep in touch.”

Carano also reflected on the broader fallout that led to her removal from the Star Wars series in 2021. At the time, her social media activity caused strong backlash, and she was eventually let go by Lucasfilm. The character she played was later removed from the story.

Later, she took legal action against The Walt Disney Company over her firing. That case was settled, though the details were not made public.

Now, Carano is preparing for a return to fighting, with a scheduled bout against Ronda Rousey in Los Angeles. She has spent the past months training and rebuilding her physical condition.

She also says her future may include acting again, but in a different way than before. At the same time, she says she is focused on her health and fighting career for now.

This story shows how quickly relationships in entertainment can shift when public pressure grows. It also shows how private communication can be very different from what people assume from the outside. What do you think about Carano’s comments on Pedro Pascal? Do private messages matter more than public statements in situations like this? Share your thoughts in the comments.
