The Boys is heading to theaters for its final send-off, and it is doing it in a very loud and unusual way.

The show’s official X account announced that the fifth and final season finale will be shown in movie theaters with 4DX screenings. That means viewers may feel seat movement and other effects while watching the episode. The episode will also still be available on Prime Video.

“In two weeks, we’re going out with a bang,” the show’s official X account said on Tuesday. “Literally, because ya might vibrate watchin’ the series finale in 4DX. Get yer mitts on a seat with the purchase of a concession voucher, which is good towards sweets or soda the day of. See ya May 19 at 9:30 p.m.”

The finale was originally planned to stream on Prime Video on May 20, but now some fans will be able to see it in theaters a little earlier on May 19.

This is part of a growing trend where streaming platforms also show big episodes in cinemas. Other shows like Stranger Things and One Piece have done similar things before.

The Boys has been one of Prime Video’s most popular series since it first came out in 2019. It is based on a comic book and follows a group called the Boys who fight against corrupt superheroes working for a powerful company called Vought.

The series was created by Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg. Over time, it has also led to spin-offs like The Boys Presents: Diabolical and Gen V, as well as the upcoming prequel Vought Rising.

The final season brings back the main cast including Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Cameron Crovetti. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jensen Ackles, Valorie Curry, and Susan Heyward also appear.

The finale episode runs for about 63 minutes.
