Kelly Reilly says she would love to see characters from Yellowstone cross over between the franchise’s new spinoff series. Ahead of the release of Dutton Ranch, the actress teased the possibility of Beth Dutton appearing alongside her on-screen brother Kayce in Marshals.

Speaking to People, Reilly shared that she misses working with Luke Grimes, who plays Kayce Dutton, and hopes the two shows eventually connect.

She said, “I’m so proud of Luke, and we love him so much, and I miss him. I wish we had a crossover. Maybe we will in the future.”

The idea would make sense inside the Yellowstone universe since Beth and Kayce are siblings. While Marshals follows Kayce in his own storyline, Dutton Ranch focuses on Beth and Rip starting over far away from Montana after the events of Yellowstone.

This new series moves the action to South Texas, where Beth and Rip try to build a new life together after the death of John Dutton in the original show.

According to the official synopsis, the couple will face dangerous new enemies while adjusting to life outside the Yellowstone ranch. The description says, “As Beth and Rip fight to build a future together – far from the ghosts of Yellowstone – they collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire.”

Reilly also explained that the show explores a very different side of Beth and Rip now that they are no longer living under John Dutton’s control.

She told People, “Who are they together now?” before adding, “They were the top dogs. Now they’re the strangers.”

Dutton Ranch stars Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser once again as Beth and Rip. The cast also includes Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, Natalie Alyn Lind, and Ed Harris.

The Yellowstone franchise was created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson. The original series first premiered in 2018 and quickly became one of television’s biggest hits. Since then, the universe has expanded with several spinoffs, including Marshals, which premiered earlier this year.

Dutton Ranch will debut on May 15 with its first two episodes airing on Paramount+ and Paramount Network. New episodes will release weekly afterward.
