Brooks Nader had a very close call right before her red carpet appearance at the FOX Upfronts 2026 in New York City, where she was promoting the upcoming Baywatch.

The story comes from Nader’s own Instagram posts, where she showed what happened just minutes before she was supposed to go on stage. The 29-year-old model and actress shared a mirror selfie that showed her dress ripped open at the back, with visible damage right before the event.

She wrote over the image, “When you bust out of your dress 4 minutes before showtime!!! Classssssicc,” adding laughing emojis. The post showed just how last-minute the situation was.

In another update, she showed the quick fix that saved the outfit. Tailors and helpers were seen sewing her dress back together in a rush so she could still make it to the event on time. She captioned that moment, “We’ve got 4 earth angels sewing me back into this sucker.”

Despite the wardrobe problem, Nader still made it to the red carpet in time. She later appeared at the FOX Upfronts wearing a red minidress with a halter-style neckline. The outfit matched the classic red lifeguard style linked to the Baywatch brand.

She kept her look simple, wearing light accessories and styling her hair in loose curls. Photos from the event show her posing with other cast members, including influencers and actors involved in the reboot.

In the new version of Baywatch, Nader plays a character named Selene, who is one of the captains of the Zuma Beach lifeguards. She has described the role as a major moment in her career.

Speaking to Extra on the red carpet, she said getting the role felt special. She called it “a pinch me moment.”

However, her casting has also sparked online debate. Some fans have questioned the decision to include influencers in the reboot, calling it more focused on social media fame than acting experience.

Nader addressed this criticism in an interview with the Daily Mail in March. She said, “I think that the times are different, and everyone is so multi-hyphenate now. And you can be both an actor and an influencer and have influence.” She added that social media gives people new ways to share their voice and contribute to projects.

The original Baywatch ran for 11 seasons from 1989 to 1999 and became one of the most recognizable TV shows of its time, starring David Hasselhoff, Pamela Anderson, and others.

While the reboot is still building attention, Nader’s last-minute wardrobe mishap has already become one of the most talked-about moments from the FOX Upfronts event.
