Sam Levinson has suggested that Euphoria Season 3 could end up being the natural conclusion of the HBO drama, depending on what happens next with the series. In comments reported from a recent interview, Levinson said he has always approached each season as if it might be the last.

He explained that this mindset shaped the way he wrote the show from the beginning. He said, “For the first season, it was a tough shoot. As I was writing it, I thought, ‘If they never let me come back, will I be happy?’ That’s how I approached Season 1, and then they let me come back for Season 2.”

Levinson also said he follows the same approach every time he returns to the series. He added, “I’ve always done every season like it could be the last season and if the story ended here, would I feel proud? Is it saying what I want it to say?” He went on to say that he feels satisfied with how the upcoming season concludes, describing it as something he is proud of and calling the ending “beautiful.”

He also made it clear that he would be fine if the show stops there, saying, “If they never let me come back, I’m happy with this.” His comments suggest that Season 3 may be written with closure in mind rather than a setup for another continuation.

There are also growing questions about whether Euphoria will continue beyond Season 3. The long production delays between seasons and shifting priorities at HBO have made the show’s future less certain.

On top of that, the cast has changed significantly since the early days of the series. Stars like Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi have all become major Hollywood names since Season 1, taking on blockbuster films and leading roles that make scheduling another season more complicated.

The show has also faced concerns about momentum, with gaps between seasons affecting audience consistency and overall engagement. Because of this, some industry observers believe Season 3 could function as a natural ending point, even if HBO never officially confirms it as the final chapter.

For now, Levinson’s comments make it clear that he’s prepared for either outcome. Whether Euphoria continues or ends with Season 3, he says he’s focused on making sure the story feels complete on its own terms.
