The cast of The Boys recently reunited to promote the show’s final season and took part in an interview with Rotten Tomatoes, where they looked back at some of the most shocking and disturbing moments from the series.

The conversation was casual and fun, but it quickly turned into a recap of just how extreme the show has been over the years. Each actor picked what they personally thought was the most “messed up” moment they had seen or filmed.

Jessie T. Usher, who plays A-Train, did not hesitate when asked. He pointed straight to the infamous “Herogasm” episode.

He said, “Herogasm. That’s gotta be the most messed up. Herogasm is the most messed-up thing I’ve seen in life, period. I think after hour 12, the visual of coming back into Herogasm after going to lunch is bananas, you know what I mean? Now everybody is bloated, it’s gassy in there. It’s bad. That had to have been the worst.”

His comments set the tone for the rest of the cast, who also had strong opinions about the show’s most extreme scenes.

Colby Minifie, who plays Ashley, focused more on the animal-related scenes. She mentioned how difficult some of those moments were to watch, especially scenes involving a whale and a dolphin.

She said, “A lot of the animal deaths are pretty horrible. Like the whale. Lucy the Whale. We had the dolphin.”

Erin Moriarty agreed and added, “When the dolphin crashed out of the truck. That was really disturbing.”

Karl Urban, who plays Butcher, also brought up the whale sequence. He described how intense the set was and how realistic it felt during filming.

He said, “Inside the whale was absolutely gross. They constructed this innards of the whale that was still barely alive and so the heart was still beating as well and we’re all covered in blood and wasps…”

Jack Quaid added even more detail about the experience, especially how strange and uncomfortable the set environment became during filming.

He explained, “The fake blood was all cornstarch and sugar so it was sweet and it was like that season in Toronto where all like the wasps came out. So I’m just, we’re both in the whale, sweating, covered in this sticky stuff that wasps love. But now that the show was ending, like in the final season, anytime I was in a moment that I was like ‘Oh this is going to be a thing. This is really messed up.’ I have this new take on it now where… I really need to take this in because it’s the last time, this is the craziest situation ever.”

He also said the experience made him a bit emotional, knowing the show was coming to an end and he might never film something that wild again.

Later in the interview, the topic shifted to another infamous moment from Season 4. Karen Fukuhara reacted to the sauna scene and its shocking imagery.

She said, “Oh my goodness the human centipede of it all. I was like ‘You know what? I think I’m good though.’ I don’t know if I would ever want to see that again.”

The interview, shared by Rotten Tomatoes according to entertainment coverage, shows just how extreme and unforgettable the series has been for both viewers and the actors themselves.
