Elon Musk Shrugs Off ‘The Boys’ Finale Controversy AGAIN With Brutal Response to Eric Kripke
Elon Musk is still talking about “The Boys” finale, and this time he had a lot more to say. After already calling the ending “pathetic” earlier this week, the billionaire returned to X with another post aimed at the hit Prime Video series and creator Eric Kripke.
The latest round of drama started after a viral social media post criticized the final episode of “The Boys,” especially the way Homelander’s story ended. The post accused the show of turning the character into a political symbol and claimed the finale pushed the story in an overly exaggerated direction.
Musk first reacted with a short response, simply writing, “Pathetic.” That one-word comment quickly exploded online and caught the attention of Eric Kripke himself. The “The Boys” creator reshared Musk’s post and joked about it publicly.

“OMG this is his review of what @TheBoysTV did to Homelander, I’ll never get a better review ever,” Kripke wrote on X.

Now Musk has jumped back into the conversation with an even longer message. In his newest post, he admitted he never actually watched the show while still criticizing it and taking another shot at Kripke.
“I didn’t watch the show tbh, here’s the second best review… Kripke probably got flack from his wife’s bf for Homelander being used in based memes and had to write that ending as a groveling apology,” Musk posted.

The exchange quickly spread across social media as fans continued debating the ending of the series. According to reactions online, the finale has sharply divided viewers, especially when it comes to Homelander’s downfall.
A lot of fans expected the character to go out in a massive and destructive final battle after years of buildup. Instead, many viewers felt the finale focused more on humiliation and emotional collapse than pure action. Some fans complained that Homelander suddenly seemed weaker during the final confrontation compared to previous seasons, despite being portrayed for years as nearly unstoppable.

Another major talking point was the way the character ultimately lost his powers. The finale used experimental technology and a large energy blast to strip Homelander of his abilities before his death. Some viewers felt the moment came across as too convenient instead of naturally earned through the story.
The emotional breakdown that followed also split audiences. After losing everything, Homelander is shown completely falling apart in front of his enemies. Some fans thought it perfectly fit the character’s fragile ego and desperate need for validation. Others argued the scene removed all remaining intimidation from the villain.
Even with the criticism, one thing most viewers seem to agree on is Antony Starr’s performance. Fans across social media have continued praising the actor for carrying the emotional weight of the finale, regardless of how they felt about the writing itself.
With Musk continuing to comment publicly and Kripke openly responding, the ending of “The Boys” has now become one of the most talked-about TV finales online. The reactions remain deeply divided, and the back-and-forth between Musk and the show’s creator has only made the conversation even louder.
