‘The Running Man’ Star Glen Powell Shares Bizarre Fan Story About Someone Eating His Face Photo Every Day

Glen Powell shared a strange and memorable fan encounter during a recent appearance on The Hollywood Reporter’s comedy roundtable, describing a situation he says he still can’t quite believe. According to Powell, he met a fan who eats a photo of his face every day and plans to keep doing it until she lands a role as an extra in one of his projects.

The actor, known for Hit Man and The Running Man, explained that he only learned about the fan during a red carpet event. Speaking on the roundtable alongside Harrison Ford, Owen Wilson, Riz Ahmed, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Zach Braff, Powell said the moment caught him completely off guard.

He recalled, “I didn’t know this was a thing until it was described to me while I was on the red carpet. They’re like, ‘Hey, the girl that eats your face is on the red carpet.’ I go, ‘What are you talking about?’”

The fan in question is TikTok creator @mynameismonique, who began posting videos in June 2025 showing herself eating printed photos of Powell’s face. She has continued the daily challenge for more than 100 days, claiming the photos are “100% fully edible,” and says she will stop only if she gets cast in one of his films or TV shows.

Powell later met her at the UK premiere of The Running Man in November. Video from the event shows the fan approaching him on the red carpet, where he signed one of the photos. Moments later, she took a bite out of it, prompting Powell to react on camera by saying, “This is savage.”

The actor said the encounter was unlike anything he had experienced before, even compared to other unusual moments in his career. The story quickly gained attention online after he shared it during the roundtable discussion, where the group was asked about the most unexpected things fans had ever said or done to them.
