The upcoming film “Jackass: Best and Last” is already drawing attention ahead of its Hollywood premiere, and not just for its stunts. The information comes from TMZ reporting, which says there was some surprise around one of the original cast members being invited but not attending.

According to TMZ, Bam Margera was invited to the premiere of the final “Jackass” movie, which is set to release next month. However, he will not be there in person. Sources told the outlet that he has a prior commitment and cannot attend the event.

The report also says Margera is still not ready to fully reconnect with the rest of the cast. This includes Johnny Knoxville and director Jeff Tremaine, with whom he had a very public fallout in recent years. Even so, he is said to be supportive of the new film and wants it to succeed.

TMZ sources added that even though Margera will not be at the premiere, his parents Phil and April Margera are expected to attend. They have appeared in past “Jackass” projects and are familiar faces for fans of the franchise.

The situation comes after a difficult history between Margera and the “Jackass” team. He was removed from the previous film after reported contract issues that included a requirement to remain sober. That decision led to a legal dispute, with Margera filing a lawsuit against Paramount, Johnny Knoxville, and Jeff Tremaine in 2022. The case was later settled.

Despite the conflict, there has been some continued connection between Margera and the franchise. TMZ reports that earlier this year, he agreed to allow producers to use old, previously unreleased footage of him in the new movie. That means he will appear in “Best and Last,” but only through archive material rather than new scenes.

The film itself is expected to be the final main entry in the long-running franchise. It is directed by Jeff Tremaine and produced by Tremaine, Spike Jonze, and Johnny Knoxville. The cast includes returning members such as Steve-O, Chris Pontius, and others from the original group, along with newer additions introduced in recent installments.

“Jackass: Best and Last” is described as a mix of new stunts, classic moments, and unseen footage from earlier years of the series. The project is being treated as a final celebration of the franchise before it ends.

The film is scheduled for theatrical release on June 26, through Paramount Pictures. It continues the long-running series that began as a TV show and later became a successful film franchise known for its extreme and often dangerous comedy stunts.

While Margera’s absence from the premiere highlights the ongoing distance between him and the main group, his indirect involvement through archive footage shows that his role in the franchise is still present in some form. According to TMZ’s reporting, he is still rooting for the film’s success, even if he is not part of the current cast reunion.

As the premiere approaches, attention is now on how fans will react to the final chapter of “Jackass,” especially with both returning stars and long-standing tensions shaping the story behind the scenes.
