‘The Four Seasons’ Season 2 Cast Guide: Who’s Returning and Who’s Joining the Drama?
The cast of The Four Seasons Season 2 brings back the full main group from Season 1, with the story continuing around their complicated friendships, relationships, and shared vacations.
The show again centers on Tina Fey, Will Forte, Steve Carell, Colman Domingo, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Marco Calvani, and Erika Henningsen. A new recurring character played by Steven Pasquale also joins the season.
The main cast includes Tina Fey as Kate, Will Forte as Jack, Colman Domingo as Danny, Marco Calvani as Claude, Kerri Kenney-Silver as Anne, Erika Henningsen as Ginny, and Steve Carell as Nick in continuing story elements tied to Season 1’s events.
Tina Fey returns as Kate, who continues to deal with the emotional fallout from everything that happened in the previous season. Kate is still very much the practical one in the group, but she is also under pressure as her marriage with Jack stays complicated. Her relationship with Jack does not suddenly reset.
Instead, Season 2 explores how they try to stay together while still dealing with old frustration and trust issues. Kate also becomes more involved in group decisions as the friends adjust to a very different situation than before.
Will Forte returns as Jack, Kate’s husband, and his story continues to focus on his insecurity and emotional reactions inside the marriage. Jack is still trying to understand his place in the relationship, especially after everything that has been said between him and Kate in Season 1.
His behavior often swings between trying to fix things and pulling away when he feels misunderstood. Season 2 shows him trying to be more present, but not always successfully.
Colman Domingo returns as Danny, who is still married to Claude. Danny’s story in Season 2 continues to explore stress, health concerns, and emotional pressure from trying to hold everything together.
He is still ambitious, but his personal life often gets in the way of his work and plans. Danny also struggles with grief and change in the group dynamic after Nick’s death, and that continues to affect how he behaves around everyone.
Marco Calvani returns as Claude, Danny’s husband, and his role in Season 2 focuses more on emotional honesty and relationship tension. Claude often reacts strongly to Danny’s choices and wants more stability in their life together.
At the same time, Claude also tries to keep the group connected, even when things feel messy or uncomfortable. His relationship with Danny remains central, and Season 2 pushes them to deal with long-standing communication issues.

Kerri Kenney-Silver returns as Anne, Nick’s soon-to-be ex-wife and a key emotional figure in the group. After everything that happened with Nick, Anne’s storyline continues to deal with grief, anger, and confusion about the past. She is also now dealing with the biggest shock from Season 1’s ending, which is Ginny’s pregnancy. Anne’s role in Season 2 is tied strongly to how she processes loss while still being pulled into the group’s shared vacation tradition.
Erika Henningsen returns as Ginny, Nick’s girlfriend, who becomes one of the most important characters in Season 2. Ginny’s life changes completely when she reveals she is pregnant with Nick’s baby. This announcement forces the entire group to react and adjust. Ginny is now connected to the group permanently through the child, even though her relationship with Nick ended with his death. Her role in Season 2 is about finding her place among people who are still processing Nick in very different ways.
Steve Carell’s character Nick remains part of the story through the events of Season 1, where his sudden death continues to shape everything that follows. While he does not actively participate in the present timeline of Season 2, his impact is still central to the story. The group constantly deals with memories of him, unresolved emotions, and the consequences of his relationships with both Anne and Ginny.
A new recurring character, Mark Brett, played by Steven Pasquale, joins Season 2. His role adds another layer to the group’s already complicated dynamics. While full details about Mark’s storyline are limited, his presence is expected to influence the group’s evolving relationships and vacation tradition.
Season 2 continues the main idea of the series, which is how long-term friendships survive change. After Nick’s death and Ginny’s pregnancy reveal, the group is no longer the same tight, predictable circle they once were. They still travel together and try to maintain tradition, but everything feels more fragile now.
The new season also explores what happens when a group is forced to “re-form,” as Tina Fey has described it. The friendships are not broken, but they are no longer simple. Everyone is dealing with new roles, new responsibilities, and a future that looks very different from what they expected.
In Season 2, the focus is not just on relationships, but on adjustment. Every character has to deal with the fact that their group has changed permanently, and there is no way to go back to how things were before.
The second season releases on May 28.
