Netflix is preparing to release a new crime thriller based on a novel by bestselling author Harlan Coben, and the series is already getting attention because of its cast and story.

The new series is called I Will Find You and it will arrive on the platform on June 18. It is an eight-episode adaptation of Coben’s 2023 novel of the same name. The show continues Netflix’s long partnership with the author, who has had multiple books turned into streaming hits in recent years.

The story focuses on David Burroughs, a man who is serving a life sentence in prison for the murder of his own son. At the start of the series, David has accepted his fate and believes there is no way to change what happened. His life takes a dramatic turn when new evidence appears suggesting that his son might actually still be alive.

This discovery forces David to reconsider everything he thought he knew. He decides to escape from prison in order to uncover the truth. From that moment, the story becomes a fast-moving chase filled with secrets, danger, and hidden connections from his past.

According to early descriptions shared by Netflix and production notes, the series mixes emotional drama with suspenseful crime storytelling. It explores themes of guilt, truth, and how far a parent would go to find answers about their child.

The series was created by Harlan Coben together with Robert Hull, who has worked on shows such as Quantum Leap and Alcatraz. Their collaboration brings together Coben’s mystery-driven writing style and Hull’s experience in television storytelling.

The main role of David Burroughs is played by Sam Worthington, known for his role in Avatar and other major Hollywood productions. His casting has drawn attention because he takes on a much more grounded and emotional role compared to his action-heavy film work.

The cast also includes Britt Lower, who plays Rachel Mills, David’s former sister-in-law and a former journalist who becomes involved in his search for the truth. Milo Ventimiglia appears as Hayden, Rachel’s former partner, adding another layer to the story’s personal relationships.

Other cast members include Logan Browning as an FBI agent, Erin Richards as David’s ex-wife, and Jonathan Tucker as a police officer connected to the case. Well-known actors such as Chi McBride, Madeleine Stowe, and Clancy Brown also appear in supporting roles, giving the series a strong ensemble cast.

I Will Find You follows the success of previous Netflix adaptations of Harlan Coben’s work, including titles like Fool Me Once. Those earlier shows helped build a strong audience for his stories on the platform, especially among fans of mystery and crime dramas.

The series is expected to deliver the kind of twists and unexpected reveals that Coben’s books are known for. The central mystery of a father searching for his possibly alive son sets the tone for a story full of tension and emotional stakes.

With its release date set for June 18, the show is positioned as another major addition to Netflix’s growing list of crime thrillers based on popular novels.
