Now a new claim has emerged that has taken that speculation to another level entirely. A rumored LEGO listing for a Doctor Doom versus Thor set, allegedly part of a wave of Marvel sets arriving in January 2027, reportedly features Thor, Doctor Doom, and a female Doctor Doom all rendered as mechs.

The claim originated from the deep corners of toy leak culture, the kind of community that has produced both spot on predictions and total misses in recent months. According to a report citing a post from the r/Legoleak subreddit, the female Doctor Doom claim is unverified, and healthy skepticism has been advised even as the theory spreads.

Still, the source of the leak carries some weight with longtime collectors. The report attributes the rumored lineup of eight sets to information from Brick Fanatics, citing leaker BrickTap alongside accounts known as maxbautde and a.clay.brick. LEGO leaks have historically been some of the more reliable previews of character designs ahead of major Marvel releases, since the toy pipeline often locks in months before a film’s marketing catches up.

A female Doctor Doom variant would be a significant twist for a character so closely associated with Victor von Doom and Robert Downey Jr in this film. Whether this points to a multiversal variant, an entirely separate character taking up the Doom mantle, or simply a mech piloted by someone else remains pure speculation at this stage, but it has not stopped fans from running wild with theories online.

This is far from the first time toy leaks have driven the conversation around ‘Avengers Doomsday.’ Doctor Doom’s design itself has largely been pieced together through Hasbro figures and LEGO minifigs rather than official reveals, with fans getting their clearest look yet at his silver and green armor through a leaked minifigure. That leaked LEGO figure lined up closely with earlier Hasbro images that had already put Doom’s armor and red energy accessories front and center.

The broader leaked LEGO wave also points to other ambitious sets tied to the film’s massive scope. One rumored set, a 1,261 piece Marvel Skyline build, is said to potentially include a Galactus minifigure along with Human Torch and Spider-Man nanofigs, and could depict iconic locations like Avengers Tower, the Baxter Building, the Sanctum Sanctorum, and the X Mansion, alongside builds of the Quinjet and the Fantastic Four’s rocket.

With ‘Avengers Doomsday’ assembling heroes from the Avengers, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four under one roof, it makes sense that the merchandise rollout would be similarly massive. As the film barrels toward its December release, expect toy aisles and leak communities to keep filling in the blanks Marvel has so carefully left empty.
