Brooks Nader is officially stepping into the world of Baywatch, and new photos from the set are already getting fans excited about the upcoming reboot.

The Sports Illustrated model and reality TV star was spotted filming scenes for the new Baywatch series in Long Beach, California, where she was seen wearing the iconic red lifeguard swimsuit. The 29-year-old actress appeared on the beach during production, taking part in scenes alongside fellow cast member Ashley Moore, who was also dressed in the famous lifeguard look.

Between takes, Nader was seen wearing a black coat and brown boots while the production team worked on her hair and makeup before she returned to filming. The behind-the-scenes photos quickly gained attention as fans got their first real look at how the new series is bringing back the classic Baywatch style.

According to the casting details, Nader will play Selene, a series regular described as “the sharp-tongued captain of the Zuma beach lifeguards.” Her character will be part of a new generation of lifeguards carrying on the legacy of the original series.

The upcoming Baywatch reboot will introduce a new story while keeping connections to the original show. According to a synopsis shared by Variety, the series will follow Hobie Buchannon, who is now a Baywatch captain and continues the work started by his legendary father, Mitch Buchannon.

The story will also explore Hobie’s personal life when Charlie, the daughter he never knew he had, suddenly arrives and wants to follow in the family footsteps by becoming a lifeguard. The new series will also bring back Cody Madison, who now runs The Shoreline, a Baywatch-themed bar and restaurant while still occasionally returning to the beach to help save lives.

Cody will serve as a mentor figure for the younger lifeguards, helping guide the new team while keeping the spirit of the original series alive.

The reboot is set to arrive on Fox in January 2027, with episodes also available to stream on Hulu. The project is being developed as a modern take on the famous beach drama, which originally became a worldwide hit after launching in the late 1980s.

While details about the full storyline are still being kept under wraps, the new cast has already started creating buzz. Nader’s casting also came with some online discussion, as the model recently addressed the reaction surrounding her role in the series.

The actress has not revealed many details about what viewers can expect from Selene, but her first scenes suggest the reboot will stay close to the action, drama, and beach setting that made Baywatch a pop culture phenomenon.

With production now underway, fans are getting their first glimpse at the new lifeguard team. If the reboot succeeds, it could bring the famous franchise back to the spotlight for a new generation of viewers.
