Netflix Confirms ‘Nemesis’ Season 2 – Coltrane and Stiles Return for a New Chapter
Nemesis is officially coming back for season 2, and fans can expect more twists, more danger, and another intense battle between Isaiah Stiles and Coltrane Wilder.
The crime thriller from creators Courtney A. Kemp and Tani Marole has been renewed by Netflix after the first season gained a strong response from viewers. Kemp confirmed the news in an interview with Netflix’s Tudum, saying the return was made possible because of the fans who supported the show.
“I feel blessed to get a Season 2. We thank the fans, it’s because of them — there’s no other reason. It’s them showing up, them talking about it, and their huge social media response,” Kemp said. She added that the team was grateful to Netflix for seeing the impact the audience had on the series.
Season 2 will continue the complicated rivalry between Detective Isaiah Stiles, played by Matthew Law, and skilled thief Coltrane Wilder, played by Y’lan Noel. Their dangerous game of chasing and escaping will continue through Los Angeles, with both characters facing new challenges after the shocking events of the first season.
Tani Marole teased that the next chapter will not simply repeat what fans have already seen. “We’re going to make sure questions get answered, and even more questions are available for you to answer,” Marole told Tudum. “Make no mistake, Season 2 is going to be bigger and better.”
The first season ended with Stiles and Wilder still standing on opposite sides of the law. Their conflict became even more personal when Stiles’ son Noah, played by Cedric Joe, was caught between them. In an attempt to protect his child, Stiles allowed Wilder to escape, giving the thief the final advantage.
Wilder’s final words to Stiles were a warning: “You were never gonna win!” Now, season 2 will give Stiles the chance to fight back and continue their intense rivalry.
According to Kemp, the creative team already had plans for where the story could go after the first season. “We didn’t pitch this concept without an idea of what we would do in Season 2,” she explained. “It’s going to be bigger and more intense, and we’re going to complicate the conflict between these two.”
While Stiles and Wilder remain at the center of the story, the creators also want to explore more of the show’s supporting characters. Kemp revealed that many viewers became interested in the female characters and wanted to learn more about their histories.
“For me, what’s the most gratifying is people really getting attached to and focusing on the female characters,” Kemp said. She added that fans asking about Charlie and Ebony’s backgrounds opened the door for more stories involving them.
The new season will also introduce fresh faces to the world of Nemesis. Marole joked that there are plenty of possibilities after the events of season 1. “We killed a lot of people [in Season 1],” he said, hinting that new characters will likely enter the story.

With more secrets to uncover and more conflicts ahead, Nemesis season 2 is expected to continue raising the stakes when production begins again. Netflix has not announced a release date yet, but fans can revisit season 1 while waiting for the next chapter of Stiles and Wilder’s battle.
