The tribute struck a chord instantly, racking up tens of thousands of likes and a flood of comments from fans eager to see the concept become an actual retail product. One user, dolls2remember, wrote, “We need rocky horror bratz,” while another commenter, skyhopewolf, jokingly pleaded, “Please please please actually make this omg. Easiest money y’all will ever make off me.”
The reaction underscores just how enduring Curry’s Frank-N-Furter has remained since the film’s original 1975 release. The role has continued to influence pop culture across generations, most recently informing this year’s Broadway revival of ‘The Rocky Horror Show,’ where actor Luke Evans earned a Tony nomination for stepping into the iconic fishnets.
Evans himself paid tribute to Curry following his death, revealing he had written the legendary actor a heartfelt letter just three weeks before his passing. “Being compared to you has been one of the greatest compliments I’ve ever received, even though it’s a comparison no one could ever hope to live up to,” Evans wrote, sharing the letter’s contents in his own Instagram tribute. “There is, and always will be, only one Tim Curry.”
Beyond Frank-N-Furter, Curry built an extensive career playing memorable villains and eccentric characters, from Pennywise in the original 1990 ‘It’ miniseries to Wadsworth the butler in ‘Clue’ and Rooster in ‘Annie.’ That range across horror, comedy and musical theater helped cement his reputation as one of the most versatile character actors of his generation.
Whether Bratz will actually turn the Frank-N-Furter tribute into an official retail release remains unclear, but the overwhelming fan response suggests there’s real demand for it.
