Sharon Stone Just Torched Sydney Sweeney by Comparing Her to Her ‘Euphoria’ Character, Cassie

Sharon Stone has never been one to hold back in interviews, and her latest comments about a former co-star are proving that reputation is still fully intact. The screen icon joined Season 3 of ‘Euphoria‘ this year, playing Patricia Lance, the showrunner of a fictional series within the show that pulls Sydney Sweeney’s character Cassie away from her online cam-girl work.

That storyline gave Stone and Sweeney plenty of shared screen time throughout the season, and it’s clearly left Stone with some pointed thoughts about how her on-screen efforts to redirect Cassie’s path compare to Sweeney’s own career choices off camera. Sweeney has spent much of the past year building out Syrn, her own lingerie brand, through a steady stream of high-profile campaigns and public appearances.

That contrast became the punchline in Stone’s latest interview. Speaking about her ‘Euphoria’ role, Stone explained her character’s arc before landing a dry, unmistakable dig at Sweeney’s real-life business ventures. “In ‘Euphoria,’ I tried to get Sydney Sweeney’s character to stop being a cam girl and to come and work for me on the series I was producing called ‘L.A. Nights.’ And she agreed to stop being a cam girl,” Stone told Variety. “Which she didn’t do. As you can see from Sydney’s new lingerie line, it didn’t take.”

Stone’s comment plays directly off Cassie’s arc across ‘Euphoria’ Season 3, where the character declares to Patricia, “I am not a sex worker — I am a performer who uses my body to tell stories,” attempting to reframe her online persona as a form of feminist self-expression. The show has leaned heavily into that storyline throughout the season, often putting Sweeney’s character in increasingly provocative styling built around Sweeney’s own real-world brand.

That overlap between fiction and reality became especially literal in the season’s premiere episode, where Sweeney dressed her character in pieces from her own Syrn lingerie line during a scene depicting Cassie as an OnlyFans-style online celebrity. That blending of the actress’s business with her character’s storyline is exactly the kind of parallel Stone appears to be poking fun at with her comment.

Sweeney officially launched Syrn last winter, and the brand has continued expanding through multiple collection drops since then, including her debut “Seductress” collection, which reportedly sold out shortly after its release. She’s continued modeling the line herself in various campaigns and public appearances throughout the year, keeping the brand consistently in the spotlight alongside her acting career.

That level of visibility has made Sweeney’s business ventures a frequent talking point in entertainment coverage, sometimes drawing praise from fans and criticism from others over how she’s chosen to promote the brand publicly.
