Early projections floated by industry observers suggest the re-release, combined with renewed box office attention, could help push ‘Endgame’s’ lifetime haul closer to challenging ‘Avatar’s’ $2.923 billion global record, though that outcome is far from guaranteed.

It also raises a lingering question that Marvel has not fully answered: whether the new scenes were shot specifically for this theatrical run or repurposed from footage already captured for ‘Doomsday’ itself. Either explanation would suggest the studio is treating the re-release as more than a simple cash grab, using it instead to actively thread the two stories together.
