Her latest appearance leaned fully into soft, storybook romance: a lilac Chloé dress featuring voluminous sleeves with ruched detailing, ruffles along the hem, and several light-colored ribbons tied throughout, with extra gathering at the bust adding even more texture to the silhouette.

The look fits neatly into a wardrobe that has been anything but predictable. Just one appearance earlier, she stepped out in a beige minidress from Chloé’s spring 2026 collection featuring whisper-thin straps, a draped bodice, and a giant hip bow reminiscent of a bustle while heading to BBC Radio.

She also paired that stretch of the tour with a Chloé bodysuit that blended lingerie-inspired dressing with the film’s period-romance mood, a choice some fashion outlets described as a subtle take on the naked-dressing trend given how closely its pastel tone matched her skin.
Rather than committing to strict “method dressing,” where an actor’s off-screen wardrobe echoes their character’s world scene for scene, Edgar-Jones has been mixing eras and moods throughout the run. To kick things off, she wore an empire-waist mini dress that nodded subtly to the Georgian setting of Jane Austen’s story.
From there, things escalated quickly. At the film’s Berlin premiere on September 22, she debuted a silver-blue satin gown pulled directly from Armani’s spring 2005 couture archives, following an earlier corseted custom Vivienne Westwood gown that opened the London premiere leg of the tour.

‘Sense and Sensibility’ itself carries real stakes for this kind of promotional spectacle. Directed by Georgia Oakley with a screenplay adapted by Diana Reid, the new take on Austen’s classic follows sisters Elinor and Marianne Dashwood as they navigate love, loss, and financial uncertainty after being forced out of their family estate in Sussex.
Edgar-Jones stars as Elinor, joined by a cast that includes Esmé Creed-Miles, Caitríona Balfe, George MacKay, and Fiona Shaw. The film opened in UK theaters on September 25, ahead of its US release scheduled for October 16.
Her stylist, Dani Michelle, has clearly leaned into Chloé throughout the tour, a label reportedly beloved by the actor, and the pairing has produced some of the tour’s most talked-about images. The brand’s romantic, boho-leaning aesthetic seems tailor-made for a press cycle built around a period love story.
Jewelry has quietly become its own storyline within the tour as well. Edgar-Jones has worn pieces from Boucheron throughout several stops, a partnership that dates back to when she became an ambassador for the storied French jewelry house in September of 2025.

None of this necessarily reflects historical accuracy from Austen’s original 18th-century setting, and fashion commentators have noted as much. But that’s arguably beside the point when the goal is simply keeping a period drama part of the pop-culture conversation deep into its promotional run.
With the film’s US release still weeks away, there’s a good chance Edgar-Jones has more surprises left in her closet before this press tour wraps. If her pattern so far is any indication, expect the unexpected rather than another straightforward corset moment.
