Every big action movie needs a few breakout faces, and ‘Street Fighter’ has a cast full of them. With the film now in theaters, the latest Rayna Vallandingham ‘Street Fighter’ press photos are circulating widely, and they show one of the movie’s most intriguing newcomers at her most polished. She is a real-life martial arts champion stepping into her first major blockbuster.

The new images arrive at a perfect moment, as the movie’s promotional run wraps up and attention turns to the people behind the fighters. For Vallandingham, it’s a chance to show that she is as comfortable in front of a camera as she is on the mat.

In the pictures, Vallandingham stands against a plain white wall with her dark hair pulled into a high ponytail. She wears a fitted gray long-sleeve top with a bold red mesh panel and a large graphic printed across the front, and her makeup is defined and glowing, with sharp brows and a soft, warm lip. The poses are confident and a little playful, with a sideways glance over her shoulder in the second shot.

The look is a clear departure from the intense fighter she plays on screen. It also fits a trend among the film’s cast, who have drawn attention for their style throughout the campaign, with one lifestyle outlet naming the group one of the most stylish of the year.

In the film, Vallandingham plays Juli, a character who first appeared in ‘Street Fighter Alpha 3’. In the games, Juli is a German private security officer and assassin who works for the villainous M. Bison and is part of his brainwashed Dolls. The role demands agile, acrobatic fighting, which makes the casting feel natural.

The movie is set in 1993, the year ‘Street Fighter II’ dominated arcades, and follows estranged fighters Ryu and Ken Masters, played by Andrew Koji and Noah Centineo. They are recruited by Chun-Li, played by Callina Liang, for the next World Warrior Tournament. Mel Jarnson plays Cammy, and the large ensemble also features Jason Momoa, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.

Why ‘Street Fighter’ Has Opened a Massive Rotten Tomatoes Gap Between Critics and Fans

Vallandingham’s background is remarkable. Born on January 18, 2003, she earned her first black belt by age 6 and went on to win 13 world championship titles in taekwondo, becoming one of the youngest black belt champions in the sport. She spends roughly 2 hours a day on martial arts, along with strength training sessions.

Her acting career began early with the 2014 film ‘Underdogs’ and its follow-up ‘Underdog Kids’. Her breakthrough came when she learned on her 20th birthday that she had been cast in ‘Cobra Kai’, where she played Zara Malik, a martial arts influencer from the Iron Dragons dojo. ‘Street Fighter’ is only the second major role of her young acting career.

She has also built a huge audience online. At the time of her casting, she already had more than 3.7 million Instagram followers, where she regularly shares videos of impressive martial arts stunts using staffs, nunchucks and other weapons. That social media following helped make her one of the more recognizable faces among the new cast.

It also reflects how the film has embraced real fighters. Vallandingham’s genuine skills mean the movie doesn’t have to rely only on choreography learned on set, which fits the project’s goal of honoring the games’ emphasis on authentic combat.

The film opened on October 16 to a divided reception. Critics have been mixed, with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 45% at last check, while audiences have been much more positive at 82%. Reviewers have praised the cast, the fight scenes and the stylish animated sequences, while criticizing the script and uneven tone.

That split makes the press campaign especially important for the film’s newer faces. For many viewers, seeing a real champion bring Juli to life is one of the film’s selling points, and the photos have only added to the interest.

Vallandingham now has a major franchise credit on her resume, and fans are already wondering what she will do next. Her mix of martial arts credibility, screen experience and a massive online following puts her in a strong position as Hollywood looks for action talent.
