Street Fighter is a Japanese fighting game franchise created and published by Capcom, beginning in 1987. Its 1991 hit Street Fighter II helped define the one-on-one fighting game genre and became its best-selling entry. With 60 million games sold worldwide as of July 2026, Street Fighter is one of Capcom’s biggest and most successful franchises.
