Few young stars make fashion week feel like a second home quite like Ester Expósito. Over the past few years she has gone from teen-drama breakout to one of Spain’s most recognizable faces, equally at ease on a red carpet and in front of a film camera. This fall, she is balancing both worlds at the same time.

The Madrid-born actress became an international name as Carla Rosón Caleruega in Netflix’s ‘Elite.’ Since then she has taken on darker and more demanding work in projects like ‘Venus,’ ‘The Wailing,’ ‘The Talent’ and the Netflix action series ‘Bandidos.’ This year has been one of her biggest yet.

Now a fresh set of photos is making the rounds, captioned as Paris, and showing Expósito in a soft pastel look. The timing is hard to miss, since the images arrive just days after one of the most ambitious projects of her career started shooting.

In the images, Expósito wears a fitted pale pink dress with long sleeves, an off-the-shoulder neckline and bold waist cutouts. Small heart-shaped hardware finishes the sides, and the makeup is kept soft, letting the dress and the warm evening light take center stage. The result is dreamy rather than dramatic.

It’s a notable contrast to the darker looks she wore earlier this month. The pastel palette gives the photos a romantic, almost storybook feel.

Paris has become a regular stop for her. On October 1, Expósito attended the Messika Spring/Summer 2027 show at Le Grand Palais during Paris Fashion Week. Her relationship with the jewelry house goes back at least to 2023, and her appearances at its shows have become one of the season’s most reliable traditions.

For that outing she wore a sheer black look, and photos of the evening spread quickly online. Another report described her in a black Roberto Cavalli dress from the label’s Fall-Winter 2026/27 collection, paired with Messika diamonds.

Her year has included recognition as well as red carpets. Expósito received the International Golden Nymph Award for Most Promising Talent at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, where she turned heads in a bright pink dress. It’s a notable honor for an actress who has spent years proving she is more than a teen-drama breakout.

Between festival premieres, streaming releases and fashion week appearances, she is clearly entering a new phase of her career.

The biggest news is on set. Netflix’s feature adaptation of Clarín’s classic novel ‘La Regenta’ went into production on October 23, with Expósito starring as Ana Ozores. Mar Coll, a Locarno winner, is directing, and María Zamora is producing through Elastica Films, whose credits include ‘Alcarràs’ and ‘Romería.’

The novel, published in 1884 and 1885, follows Ana, a young woman married to Víctor Quintanar, a man twice her age and a former magistrate of Vetusta, a stifling provincial city. Netflix describes the story as a private crisis that becomes a silent struggle between desire, faith and social power, with Ana watched and judged at every step.

Expósito leads an announced cast that includes Oriol Pla as Fermín de Pas, Vito Sanz as Víctor Quintanar and Ana Torrent as Doña Paula. Coll has said she chose the elements of the novel that moved her personally, namely Ana’s loneliness, heartbreak and persistent search for meaning. She sees Ana’s sensitivity and stubbornness as forms of resistance within a predatory social world.

It’s also a milestone for the role itself. Expósito takes on the character 31 years after Aitana Sánchez-Gijón played Ana Ozores for Spain’s TVE. No release date has been announced.

Put together, the pastel photos and the period drama show how far Expósito has traveled from her breakout. She can headline a prestige literary adaptation one week and light up Paris with a delicate pink dress the next. For a star still in her 20s, that range is a powerful asset.
