Upcoming ‘The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin’ Game Gets a Website and Social Media Accounts
Join Tristan on a new adventure to fix the distorted timelines with the Book of Stars!
Netmarble, a Korean gaming company, and its developer Netmarble F&C have launched a teaser website and social media accounts for their new game, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin. It builds on the success of The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, a popular turn-based RPG by the same company.
The new game draws inspiration from the famous anime and manga series, The Seven Deadly Sins, but introduces a new protagonist and a multiverse storyline. This open-world action RPG will come to consoles, PC, iOS, and Android in 2025.
Fans can already watch trailers for the game. The first one, shown at GDC, highlights stunning 3D visuals, fast combat, and exploration features. It also shows gathering mechanics in a world that feels similar to other open-world games.
A second trailer offers a look at early development footage. In it, the protagonist climbs a giant hand, explores a town, and uses skills like fishing, flying, and riding mounts. There’s also team-based action with characters fighting enemies and solving puzzles.
The latest trailer, from G-Star 2024, is in Korean. It focuses on combat, showing battles against huge giants and a creepy spider-like treasure chest creature.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin brings back familiar characters from the anime. Playable characters announced so far include Meliodas, Tristan Liones, Elizabeth Liones, Diane, Ban, King, Merlin, Gilthunder, Howzer, and Gowther. Unlike the original story centered on Meliodas and his knights, this game shifts focus to a new hero while keeping the beloved cast involved.
No exact release date has been shared yet, but the game is confirmed for 2025. Netmarble promises an exciting experience with quick fights and a big world to explore. Fans of the franchise can expect more updates as development continues.
You can check the just-opened teaser website here, or follow the game on new X and YouTube accounts.
This game looks promising. The open-world style and new protagonist could refresh the series while keeping what fans love about it. The trailers show smooth action and a vibrant world, which could appeal to both old fans and new players.
