Charlie Cox has confirmed that he won’t be showing up in Avengers: Doomsday, putting to rest weeks of speculation about whether Daredevil would join the team in Marvel’s next big crossover movie. The actor was recently asked about it by a fan during a convention, and his answer was short and clear: “No.”

This might come as a letdown to many fans who were hoping to see Matt Murdock fighting alongside other Marvel heroes on the big screen. After all, Daredevil has become one of the most talked-about characters in the MCU since his reintroduction, and interest in him continues to grow.

His solo show, Daredevil: Born Again, is set to return for a second season, with filming already underway. The new season is expected to debut in March 2026.

Meanwhile, Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to be one of the biggest Marvel movies yet. The cast list includes names like Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Paul Rudd, Letitia Wright, Simu Liu, and Sebastian Stan. On top of that, several familiar faces from the X-Men films are expected to make appearances, including Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and James Marsden. There’s also been talk that Hugh Jackman might come back as Wolverine, though that hasn’t been officially confirmed.

In this movie, the Avengers will reportedly join forces with teams like the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and the Wakandans to face a new threat—Doctor Doom. In an unexpected move, Robert Downey Jr. is said to be taking on that role, marking a big twist for fans used to seeing him as Iron Man.

Avengers: Doomsday will release on December 18, 2026, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027, as part of Marvel’s Phase Six.

While Daredevil may not appear in Doomsday, Charlie Cox’s future in the MCU still looks bright. With his solo show gaining momentum and strong fan support, there’s no doubt Marvel has more plans for the character.
