New Hints Emerge About Zoe Kravitz’s Role in ‘The Batman Part II’
Rumors are swirling again about Zoë Kravitz and her possible return as Catwoman in The Batman: Part II. The actress was a major part of the first film, starring alongside Robert Pattinson, but new reports suggest she might not appear in the highly anticipated sequel.
The speculation began after comments made by film reporter Jeff Sneider on The Hot Mic show. He explained that during interviews for another movie, Kravitz’s representatives gave clear instructions to the press.
“The representatives for Zoe Kravitz…instructed the press, don’t ask Zoe any questions about The Batman Part 2. She’s not in it and she doesn’t know anything,” Sneider said.
He added that this came directly from a junket for a different project and wasn’t based on guesswork. According to him, journalists were specifically told, “Don’t ask her any questions about…she’s not in it and she doesn’t know anything.”
This sparked immediate debate online, with many fans worried that Selina Kyle’s storyline may not continue in the sequel. John Rocha, also on The Hot Mic, reacted by saying, “So Catwoman is not in The Batman Part 2 even though she was a big [part of the first film].”
Still, Sneider was careful to point out that only a small group knows the truth about the script. “Listen, only six people on the planet have read the script…don’t worry about what everybody else thinks,” he said, clarifying that he was “just passing along what the other journalists at the Caught Stealing junket were told.”
The sequel itself is already in development. The Batman: Part II is scheduled to hit theaters on October 1, 2027. Director Matt Reeves is back, working once again with co-writer Mattson Tomlin. Robert Pattinson will return as Bruce Wayne, with Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell also set to reprise their roles as Gordon, Alfred, and Penguin.
Officially, Warner Bros. has kept Zoë Kravitz on the cast list, but the uncertainty around her involvement has fans guessing. Some believe the statements could simply be a way to avoid spoilers, while others think her absence could mean the story is moving in a very different direction.
Filming is planned to start in January 2026 at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in England. Until then, questions about Catwoman’s fate in Gotham will remain unanswered.
