‘Thomas & Friends’ (1984)

Created for television by Britt Allcroft and produced over many eras with model work and later computer animation, the show leaves Netflix on Monday September 1.
English language narrators over the years have included Ringo Starr, George Carlin, Alec Baldwin, and Michael Angelis. Episodes are short and self contained with stories about cooperation and problem solving, and the franchise has been managed by companies such as Gullane and HiT Entertainment during its multidecade run.
‘Heartland’ (2007)

This Canadian family drama is adapted from the novels by Lauren Brooke and centers on sisters Amy Fleming and Lou Fleming who run the Heartland ranch with their grandfather Jack in Alberta. The series focuses on horse training and family life and leaves Netflix on Monday September 1.
The main cast features Amber Marshall as Amy Fleming, Michelle Morgan as Lou Fleming, Shaun Johnston as Jack Bartlett, and Graham Wardle as Ty Borden. Produced for CBC and filmed in Alberta, the show has released many seasons that follow ongoing stories at the ranch and in the nearby community.
‘Final Fantasy XIV: Dad of Light’ (2017)

This Japanese live action miniseries is inspired by a real blog about a son who uses ‘Final Fantasy XIV’ to reconnect with his father, blending real world scenes with in game footage. It leaves Netflix on Monday September 1.
The series stars Yudai Chiba as the son and Ren Osugi as the father and includes official cooperation from the game’s publisher for in game sequences. Episodes are brief and focus on family communication and the shared experience of online play, and the show first aired in Japan before being made available internationally.
‘Wipeout’ (2021)

The obstacle course competition series returned in this modern revival with teams tackling oversized challenges and a final Wipeout Zone for the top performers. This version leaves Netflix on Monday September 1.
The reboot is hosted by John Cena and Nicole Byer with Camille Kostek reporting from the course. Produced by Endemol Shine North America, episodes follow a set progression of heats and finals with rotating obstacles that test balance, timing, and endurance.
‘My Perfect Landing’ (2020)

This family series follows the Cortez family of gymnasts who relocate from Miami to Toronto where young Jenny tries to find her footing at a new school and a new gym. Created by Frank van Keeken, it leaves Netflix on Monday September 1.
The show features competitive routines, training setbacks, and meet days as Jenny builds friendships and navigates new expectations. Originally produced for Canada’s Family Channel and distributed globally on streaming, the production films in and around Toronto with a cast of young gymnasts and coaches.
‘Story Time Book: Read-Along’ (2022)

This kids program presents picture book style stories in a follow along format with on screen text that highlights as the narrator reads. It leaves Netflix on Monday September 1.
Episodes are short and focus on early literacy with simple animation and sound effects that support comprehension for new readers. The series is designed for repeat viewing so children can practice sight words and pacing while following familiar tales.
‘The Resident’ (2018)

Set at the fictional Chastain Park Memorial Hospital, this medical drama follows senior resident Conrad Hawkins and intern Devon Pravesh as they confront ethical choices and complex cases inside a modern healthcare system. The series leaves Netflix on Thursday September 4.

This animated comedy follows detective Marvin Flute as he returns to the town of Grimsburg to crack unusual cases while trying to rebuild his family life. It leaves Netflix on Friday September 5.
Jon Hamm leads the voice cast as Marvin Flute and the series is produced with animation by Bento Box Entertainment for Fox. Episodes feature case of the week mysteries set around the eccentric residents of the town with recurring characters who complicate the detective’s work and home life.
