Adam Sandler, 59, Brings the Whole Family To Rare Hollywood Event
According to reports from the Roommates premiere in Los Angeles on Monday night, Adam Sandler showed up for a rare family event while celebrating his new Netflix project. The 59-year-old actor attended the red carpet event with his wife Jackie and their daughters Sadie and Sunny, making it a full family outing.
Sandler kept his usual casual style for the night, wearing a red Nike zip-up jacket and khaki pants. Jackie Sandler wore a fitted black dress, while their daughters arrived to support both the film and their growing involvement in acting.
The premiere was especially important for Sadie Sandler, who plays a major role in the movie. In Roommates, she plays Devon, a college freshman who tries to connect with another student named Celeste, played by Chloe East. Their storyline quickly turns into a mix of humor and conflict as the characters clash.
The film also continues a pattern of the Sandler family working together on screen. Sadie and Sunny previously appeared in You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah in 2023, and Roommates marks another step in their acting experience.
The event brought out several well-known comedy figures as well, like Eddie Murphy, who came with his wife Paige Butcher and daughter Bella. Chris Rock was also present, and there were moments where Sandler, Murphy, and Rock were seen together,
highlighting a rare gathering of major comedy stars. Bella Murphy also has a role in Roommates, playing a character named Amber. This adds to the film’s focus on younger performers connected to famous Hollywood families.
Veteran actors are also part of the cast. Natasha Lyonne and Nick Kroll play the parents of Sadie Sandler’s character, adding more experience to the ensemble. Lyonne attended the premiere in a black floral outfit and joined the rest of the cast in celebrating the release.
The film is produced through Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions, a company known for frequently involving his family in projects. His mother, Judy Sandler, has also appeared in past films, showing how often his personal life overlaps with his work.
Roommates is set to release on Netflix on April 17. The premiere marks one of Sandler’s latest projects as he continues balancing comedy films with more serious roles.
Beyond this release, Sandler is also working on other upcoming projects. One of them is Time Out, a psychological thriller directed by Scott Cooper. The film is based on a French story and features Sandler alongside actors Willem Dafoe and F. Murray Abraham.
After a busy 2025 that included Happy Gilmore 2, Sandler continues to stay active in both comedy and dramatic roles while also supporting his family’s growing presence in the entertainment industry.
