Adam Scott Reveals When Fans Can Expect ‘Severance’ Season 3
Severance fans may not have to wait years again for the next season of the hit Apple TV+ series.
Actor Adam Scott recently shared a positive update about Season 3 during an interview with Deadline. According to Scott, the team behind the show is already preparing to move much faster this time.
Scott said the goal is to release the new season “much sooner” compared to the long gap between the first two seasons. He also confirmed that filming is expected to begin “very soon.”

While speaking with Deadline, Scott avoided revealing any story details about what happens next inside Lumon Industries. He explained that sharing too much would ruin the experience for viewers. “The only thing about telling more is it would be a bummer,” he said when asked about spoilers.
Reports from earlier this year also revealed that Apple secured the rights to Severance from Fifth Season in a deal reportedly worth around $70 million. At the time, the outlet stated that Season 3 was expected to start production during the summer.
Severance became one of Apple TV+’s biggest successes after the release of Season 2. According to Deadline, the series became the platform’s most-watched show at the time and earned major recognition during the 2025 Emmy Awards season.
The second season received 27 Emmy nominations and won eight awards, further cementing the show as one of the biggest television hits on streaming.
