Ana de Armas Offered Lead Role in Rom-Com ‘Distaster Wedding’ at Warner Bros., Rumor Claims

After a string of successful projects, it seems that Ana de Armas’ career is definitely on an upward spiral. After Blade Runner 2049, Blonde, Knives Out, and No Time to Die, she is set to star in the John Wick spin-off Ballerina, and we’ve recently reported that she is in negotiations to star in Tom Cruise’s upcoming project Deeper.

Now, another rumor has surface and according to what it says, Warner Bros. has offered de Armas the lead role in its upcoming rom-com/disaster movie project.

The movie in question is titled Disaster Wedding and it was originally slated for a 2024 release, but that fell through. We know that the movie will be a wedding movie that blends traditional rom-com elements with disaster movie aspects, which seems quite interesting at this point.

Max Barbakow is attached to direct the movie, and while no casting information has been confirmed, we have this rumor that claims that de Armas is being eyed for the lead role.

The source of the rumor is DanielRPK, who shared it via his Patreon account. Of course, until Warner Bros. confirms this detail, be sure to take this rumor with a grain of salt as it is only that – a rumor!
