Christopher Nolan’s mythology-soaked epic has turned into one of the biggest fashion events of the summer, with its cast delivering headline-making looks at every stop along the way. ‘The Odyssey‘ has been rolling through London and Paris this week, and each city has brought its own distinct wave of red carpet moments.

Based on Homer’s ancient Greek poem, the film follows Odysseus, King of Ithaca and played by Matt Damon, as he makes his long journey home after the Trojan War. Anne Hathaway stars as his devoted wife Penelope, joining an ensemble that includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, and Lupita Nyong’o.

At the film’s Paris premiere on July 8, held at Le Grand Rex, Hathaway stepped out in a custom Louis Vuitton gown that blended delicate transparency with rich earthy tones, marking one of the most talked about looks of her entire press tour so far. The gown featured a structured chocolate brown leather bodice with a softly scooped, ruffle-trimmed neckline that transitioned into a completely sheer, pleated chiffon skirt flowing to the floor.

Styled by Erin Walsh, the design was inspired by Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2026 collection and included a sweeping train along with ruffled leather shoulder straps that echoed the sculptural finish of the bodice. Hathaway paired the look with a Bvlgari choker featuring an oval purple gemstone surrounded by diamonds, along with matching earrings and rings, wearing her hair in a soft half-up style for the occasion.

Reviews of the look have been largely glowing, with critics describing the flowing brown palette as giving off a Mother Earth, goddess-like quality that felt perfectly in tune with the mythology at the heart of the film. The look also marked a noticeably softer, richer alternative to the pastel and floral tones Hathaway had leaned into during earlier stops on the tour.

That Paris premiere moment came just a day after another standout appearance at the film’s Paris photocall, where Hathaway wore a custom Prada gown built around a black column silhouette topped with a sheer, high-neck halter overlay. The design wrapped an opaque panel over her baby bump before flowing into a column skirt, with a delicate mesh overlay creating an illusion neckline anchored by a single string.

Hathaway has been visibly pregnant throughout the entire ‘Odyssey’ press tour, and she has embraced the moment rather than shying away from it, cradling her bump on multiple red carpets while continuing to experiment with bold, sheer silhouettes. At the film’s London world premiere earlier in the week, she wore a strapless blue floral gown built around a sculptural rosette across the bust, an outfit widely described as one of her most joyful maternity looks yet.

The actress even found herself the subject of some lighthearted attention after poking fun at herself online for wearing a jumpsuit backwards during one appearance, a moment she later addressed directly with Access Hollywood while continuing her press rounds for the film. It is the kind of playful, self-aware moment that has helped keep her corner of the ‘Odyssey’ tour feeling personal even amid the scale of the promotional machine surrounding it.

With the film’s July 17 release date approaching and the press tour still expected to make additional international stops, Hathaway’s evolving run of maternity-forward, mythology-inspired looks has quickly become one of the more closely followed threads of the entire campaign. Between her on-screen role as the ever loyal Penelope and her off-screen embrace of this new chapter in her life, she has managed to make every appearance feel distinctly her own.
