Anthony Russo Shares How ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Will Address What Happened to Jean Grey, Rogue, and Storm from the Original Fox X-Men Films

That kind of response, careful not to confirm or deny specific appearances while still promising narrative significance, fits a pattern the Russos have leaned into throughout the film’s marketing rollout. Famke Janssen offered a similarly grounded response regarding Jean Grey, noting that Marvel and Disney never actually approached her about reprising the role.
