Antony Starr Says Goodbye to ‘The Boys’ Fans as Final Episode Nears
The final stretch of The Boys is bringing a lot of attention online as the series heads toward its last episode. Fans are talking, theories are spreading, and cast members are also starting to share their thoughts as the show approaches its ending.
One of the latest moments that caught fans’ attention came from Antony Starr, who plays Homelander. In a short message shared online, he said: “Sending kisses to all the fans. End of the road this week. X”
The message was widely shared by fans as the series prepares to release its final episode titled Blood and Bone on May 20 on Amazon Prime Video. This episode is expected to close out the long-running story of the series.

At the same time, online discussion around the ending has grown because of comments made by series creator Eric Kripke. According to recent interviews and reports from media outlets covering the show, Kripke’s remarks have led fans to speculate about what will happen to major characters in the final episode.
Some of this speculation is focused on Homelander and Soldier Boy. The story between them has been a major part of recent seasons, especially the complicated father and son dynamic that has been building for a while.
Reports and fan discussions suggest that Kripke has made comments pointing toward a final outcome for Homelander. In one widely shared statement, he said:
“Our notion was their (Gen V characters) story wasn’t just over just because Homelander is dead. There was a whole other interesting space they occupy as young adults in this world.”
This line has been interpreted by fans in different ways, especially since it connects The Boys with the spin-off Gen V. However, there is no official confirmation from Amazon Prime Video about character endings.
Kripke has also addressed Soldier Boy’s role going forward. According to interviews reported by Collider and other outlets, he confirmed that Soldier Boy will not appear in the final episode. This has lowered expectations for fans who believed he might return in the last battle.

Earlier episodes of The Boys Season 5 showed Homelander becoming more powerful and taking full control of major institutions, while also pushing his ideology to the world. At the same time, Soldier Boy’s storyline took another turn as his relationship with Homelander broke down again, leading him away from the main conflict.
In previous scenes, Soldier Boy’s actions also shifted after he was given V1, which led to major consequences for Homelander and the overall power struggle. These developments added more tension going into the finale.
One of Kripke’s comments, shared in an interview with Collider, also touched on a small detail connected to Soldier Boy’s final moments. He said:
“Knowing that that (the Impala reference) was going to be Jensen’s last scene in the series, we wanted to put in one last reference.”
With the finale arriving on May 20 on Amazon Prime Video, the show is now at its end point. Fans are waiting to see how all the storylines come together and how the series chooses to close out its characters.
