Avengers: Doomsday‘ is already one of Marvel Studios’ biggest upcoming releases, but the film’s marketing is finding some surprisingly creative ways to keep its most anticipated characters in front of fans. A new promotional image now gives audiences an unusual glimpse at Thor and Doctor Doom through packaging for Chi Forest sparkling drinks.

Marvel has been steadily building anticipation around ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ as it prepares to bring together heroes from multiple corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and beyond. The movie is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, written by Stephen McFeely and currently scheduled to arrive exclusively in theaters on December 18, 2026.

That anticipation has also extended well beyond traditional movie posters and trailers. Promotional campaigns surrounding the film have already included merchandise and elaborate displays, including material showcased at Disney’s marketing and merchandise events in China, where Doctor Doom has received particular attention.

Now, a newly shared image shows what appears to be another piece of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ promotional material: Chi Forest sparkling water bottles featuring character artwork from the movie. One bottle prominently displays Chris Hemsworth’s Thor alongside a white-peach flavor, while another features Doctor Doom against a lychee-flavored design.

The unexpected pairing is particularly eye-catching because Doctor Doom and Thor represent very different sides of the upcoming Marvel crossover. Thor is one of the MCU’s longest-running heroes, while Doctor Doom will be introduced in a major new capacity with Robert Downey Jr. portraying Victor von Doom. Marvel has officially confirmed both Hemsworth and Downey among the film’s cast.

The bottle designs also make clear that this is not simply generic Marvel branding. The Thor packaging uses a recognizable image of the God of Thunder, while the Doctor Doom bottle gives the villain his own dedicated character presentation, complete with the distinctive armored appearance associated with his ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ incarnation.

Chi Forest itself is a major sparkling beverage brand, and its products include flavors such as white peach and lychee. Official product listings in Singapore include Chi Forest sparkling water in both white-peach and lychee flavors, providing context for the flavor labels visible on the promotional bottles.

The timing is also notable because Marvel’s marketing machine is becoming increasingly aggressive as the film approaches its theatrical release. Disney has already released an official trailer and continues to position ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ as a major cinematic event, with a sprawling ensemble that includes Hemsworth, Downey, Pedro Pascal, Anthony Mackie, Vanessa Kirby, Florence Pugh, Tom Hiddleston and several returning X-Men actors.

Doctor Doom has naturally become one of the biggest selling points. Downey’s casting was announced as a return to the MCU in a completely different role after his decade-long run as Tony Stark, with Marvel and the Russo brothers positioning Victor von Doom as the central threat facing the heroes. D23 previously confirmed Downey’s new role while also highlighting the film’s enormous ensemble cast.

Thor, meanwhile, remains an important part of the film’s established Marvel lineup. Marvel’s official movie page specifically highlights that Thor will return, while Disney’s current cast listing confirms Hemsworth is among the stars of the upcoming crossover.

The promotional artwork therefore offers an amusing reminder of just how broad modern blockbuster marketing has become. Rather than limiting characters to theatrical posters, studios can now place recognizable heroes and villains on everything from collectible merchandise to food and beverage packaging, giving fans another way to interact with a movie months before opening night.

It also fits with the wider promotional push surrounding ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’ Marvel-related beverage collaborations have previously been used to turn superhero characters into themed products, including a Marvel-inspired soft-drink range that announced plans for a Doctor Doom drink tied to the movie’s eventual release.

Whether these Chi Forest bottles are part of a larger official campaign or simply promotional packaging connected to the film, the designs are already giving Marvel fans something new to debate. And with Doctor Doom receiving increasingly prominent marketing attention alongside returning heroes such as Thor, the contrast between the characters could become even more interesting as the movie gets closer to theaters.
