‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Star Chris Evans Officially Sells His Hollywood Hills Home for Eye-Watering Sum
Celebrity real estate always draws attention, but few sales carry as much nostalgic weight for fans as one tied directly to a beloved superhero’s personal history. When a property has served as the backdrop for years of training, transformation, and memory-making, its sale tends to feel like the closing of a meaningful chapter.
That’s exactly the sentiment surrounding Chris Evans’ recent departure from Los Angeles. The actor, best known for his decade-long run as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has spent well over a year attempting to part ways with his longtime Hollywood Hills residence.
That chapter has now officially closed. Evans has sold his Hollywood Hills home for just over $5 million, according to TMZ, closing the deal after slashing the price at the eleventh hour to finally secure a sale.
The property had originally hit the market back in May 2025 with an asking price near $7 million, before Evans pulled the listing last November after failing to find a buyer. It returned to the market in June with a $600,000 price cut, eventually landing a sale price reported to be around $5.38 million, notably below even that reduced asking figure.
Evans purchased the 1940s-era home back in 2013 for $3.5 million, transforming it into a personal retreat throughout much of his career-defining run as Marvel’s star-spangled Avenger. The 4,600-square-foot residence, perched along a celebrity-favored cul-de-sac near Mulholland Drive, reportedly features a private gym where Evans trained extensively for his years portraying Captain America.
Beyond its Marvel-tied history, the four-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom home boasts a gourmet kitchen equipped with a 60-inch Wolf range, Bianca marble countertops, and skylights that flood the space with natural light. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors in the primary bedroom reportedly offer sweeping views overlooking the Hollywood Hills.
The estate also includes vineyard-inspired gardens, a pool and spa area, and a separate guest space complete with its own kitchen and office, rounding out a property built for both comfort and privacy during Evans’ more than a decade living there.
Evans has been candid about his reasons for leaving California behind. He described his time in the home fondly, acknowledging the beauty of the West Coast while explaining his decision to prioritize spending more time closer to family on the East Coast, where he originally grew up in Massachusetts.
That shift comes as Evans continues building a life alongside his wife, actress Alba Baptista, whom he married in September 2023. For an actor whose career has taken him across the globe for over a decade of blockbuster filmmaking, settling closer to home appears to be the next meaningful step in that personal journey.
With the sale now finalized, Evans officially closes out a significant chapter of his time in Los Angeles, one deeply intertwined with the role that helped define much of his career.
