‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Tickets Just Went on Sale, and the Perks are Already Turning Heads
Marvel fans have grown used to waiting until just a month or two before release to lock in their seats for a new blockbuster, but that pattern has been thrown out entirely for this next crossover. Between countdown clocks, leaked footage, and a marketing rollout unlike anything the studio has attempted before, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ has been treated as a genuine event from the very start.
That event-level treatment just reached a new milestone. Advance tickets for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ are officially on sale, giving fans the chance to lock in their seats a full five months before the film even hits theaters. It is an unusually early window for Marvel, and it signals just how confident the studio is heading into December.
The initial rollout is exclusive to theaters certified under Disney’s new Infinity Vision premium format, covering select showtimes across the film’s opening two weeks, from the earliest preview screenings on Thursday, December 17, through Wednesday, December 30. Sales officially opened at 11 AM ET through Fandango and participating theater chains, with screening times already appearing on platforms like Harkins Theatres.
Infinity Vision did not exist as a concept until very recently, and its creation ties directly into a scheduling standoff brewing this December. Warner Bros locked down exclusive access to Imax theaters for three weeks surrounding Dune Part Three, which happens to open on the exact same day as Doomsday, prompting Disney to build its own premium large format designation specifically for this release.
That competitive pressure clearly shaped how aggressively Marvel is pushing this early sale. Selling tickets this far ahead of release also gives fans a reliable early look at the film’s runtime, since a set screening schedule locks in an approximate length even before the final cut is complete.
Marvel and Fandango have also built some extra incentives into this early window to reward fans who commit now. Anyone purchasing a ticket through Fandango between July 20 and November 9 will be automatically entered for a chance to win a trip for two to the film’s world premiere in Los Angeles.
Fandango is also offering a dedicated Infinity Vision Launch Bundle, which includes one Infinity Vision ticket, two mystery collectibles set to be revealed at a later date, and one entry into the premiere sweepstakes, available while supplies last. Buyers selecting Infinity Vision showtimes will even see a custom Doomsday-themed seat map built specifically for the format.
The timing of this ticket drop is far from accidental. Marvel Studios returns to Hall H at San Diego Comic Con this Saturday, July 25, marking its first appearance at the convention since Robert Downey Jr’s surprise Doctor Doom reveal made headlines back in 2024. Opening ticket sales just days before that presentation builds momentum heading into what is expected to be one of the panel’s biggest moments.
Are you planning to see Avengers: Doomsday in theaters?
With Doctor Doom positioned as the MCU’s next defining villain and a cast spanning three generations of heroes, this ticket rollout feels less like a routine sales announcement and more like the opening chapter of Marvel’s biggest promotional push yet.
